The little agency that
gets BIG results.
Whilst Early Years tuition can be seen as preparing your child for prep school entry, we are incredibly careful at Nightingale Tutors not to put too much pressure on our youngest pupils. At this age it’s all about making learning exciting and learning through play. We’ll look to maintain confidence and foster curiosity as a priority at this age.
Our specialist Early Years tutors will work with parents and guardians to establish if there are any specific areas to be worked on and alongside our company director will advise on any questions related to the prep school admission process.
The time to consider tuition at this age is in preparation for the 7+ examination, particularly for the more competitive independent schools. Otherwise, if your child is keeping up at school and happy, then using a tutor at this age might not be necessary.
If there are concerns that your child is struggling to keep up at school or needs extra attention due to larger class sizes, then a tutor can be really helpful. Our tutors will help with homework, make sure they’re keeping up and most importantly are having fun whilst learning; at this age it’s all about building confidence. Routine will help too; we advise an hour a week at a consistent time, whether after school one day or a weekend morning.
Selecting a tutor will start with an in-depth consultation where we will find a tutor based on your child’s age, character and how they respond to learning. Our company director will also be on hand to oversee your child’s progress.
